Privlieged: All About What Lies Beneath

The water ballet
Oh my god. Did we really make through one entire episode of Privileged without a major hump in Will and Megan’s relationship?

But it wouldn’t be Privileged if we didn’t squeeze in some type of Smith family drama. Up this week, a heavy dose of mama-drama. That’s right, Shelby’s still sticking around, and while she may think things are all peachy-keen, Megan is torn apart by her mother’s presence.

She’s so upset by her mother, she finally gets the nerve to express her feelings and totally lashes out. We’re not surprised though. Who does Shelby think she is, anyway? She shows up after years of no contact with her children, and she thinks what? Megan will forgive her and she could be the mother she never was? Please. That woman’s got nerve.

Privileged: Michael Cassidy on Charlie and Other CW Roles

Have we mentioned how much we love Michael Cassidy? Now he plays everyone's favorite nice guy on Privileged, but in past CW incarnations, he's been a dog-kicking bad-boy and a supervillain's unwitting creation. Our own Jason C. asks Michael about his time on Hidden Palms and Smallville, then digs into what we can expect from the Megan/Charlie relationship. Check it out!

Privileged: It's all about the mid-season review

The cast of Privileged
We knew from the moment we watched the first episode of Privileged that we were in for a great treat. How could one go wrong with a cast that features The O.C. alum Michael Cassidy and Reba sweetheart Joanna Garcia, not to mention a whole roster of fresh, fun faces?

What rocks about season one of Privileged:

* Sage. Okay, we admit it: The bad-girl attitude has grown on us. We like how she mixes things up, pushes Megan to her limits and goes for everything she wants without hesitation. What’s even better now is this fling with Luis. We can’t wait to see how Sage goes after her new crush.

* The chef with the sass and solid advice, Marco. The Limoges household may not realize it, but that roost is being ruled by the kitchen help. The recipe for a perfect show: More Marco!

* The relationships! It was great seeing what lead up to Megan and Will getting together, and we’re excited for the relationship to get serious. Charlie and Mandy are shacking up. Laurel reunited with an old flame. The girls are finding love interests. Even Lily got married! Looks like the last man standing is poor Marco - always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

All About the Ripple Effect

Mom and dad = big trouble for Megan
How can things be so right one week and so wrong the next? Ask Megan.

We don’t think there is anything else that can go wrong in the wonderful world of Palm Beach on Privileged. Let us run down the list: issues with Lily – check. Argument with boyfriend – check. Even more family issues – double check.

Seriously, we don’t know what is worst; Megan’s estranged mother showing up out of nowhere, her dad insisting she forgive her mom or Megan practically throwing Will into a jealous fit.

Also, since when does it take someone so long to realize that they like a person – we're talking to you, Sage! Thank goodness Rose was there to guide Sage through the process or she might have never realized it. However, we were totally bummed that for all the drama getting to the revelation, we didn’t get to see Sage and Luis hook-up.

So, we are still left wondering whether or not they will ever get together, how it will happen and who will make the first move. Plus, what will Laurel think when she finds out that Sage is dating the help? The word fired comes to mind, and we think Marco might end up in some hot water over the entire thing.

Privileged: All About Love, Actually

PrivilegedMegan totally rocked this week on Privileged. That girl was so on top of things.

First she totally busts in on Rose to save the day and her from cheating on the test. Hooray! And, Megan was so cute when she came home from the school and vents to Will. The word "chipmunk" comes to mind, but in a cute way.

Then she took control and grounded Rose who, by the way, acts completely unteenage like and takes it like a trooper. But our teenage years weren’t that long ago that we don’t remember the earful our parents got when we were grounded. Rose did, however, give Sage the cold shoulder the entire episode after she found out she was the one who tipped Megan off about the cheating.

Reasons to be Thankful

The CW Cornucopia
As we prepare for the annual Festival of Starch and tryptophan-induced food coma that is Thanksgiving, we've been pondering the things we're thankful for this season on the CW. Here's what's running through our heads as we count our blessings this year:

Gossip Girl

  • Chuck Bass, always and forever.
  • Jenny Humphrey finally washed off the Heavy Eye Liner of Rebellion. We like our fresh-faced Little J!
  • Nate is starting to get interesting! We can't say we agree with his method of choosing a girlfriend (like Jackie says, he apparently dates anyone who's standing in front of him at that moment), but we're liking the Nate/Jenny/Vanessa dynamic.

One Tree Hill

  • The Scott Family -- Nathan, Haley and Jamie. It's great to see such a loving young family on TV!
  • The folks on One Tree Hill are still able to surprise us, either by going for a completely cheeserific theme episode, or by turning up the dial on the drama, like in the most recent episode.
  • Nanny Carrie is seriously, honestly, not-coming-back dead. We don't mind Ghost Q, but we better never see Nanny Carry haunting anyone!

Privileged: All About Overcompensating

Megan and Will
JoAnna Garcia as Megan – cute. JoAnna Garcia as Megan on a date with Will – super cute. Seriously, how can anyone still think that these two are not a great couple?

The latest episode of Privileged has Will and Megan trying to figure out where their relationship lies. And, for a girl who seems to have her stuff together, we can’t figure out why she reacted the way she did when Will shares that he is, and has been, seeing other women since him and Lily broke up.

Is it us, or did she seem jealous? So not Megan. And, what was with her trying to break it off before the relationship even got started. “Not cut from the same cloth” -- please. They are totally from the same cloth – opposite ends maybe – but, definitely the same cloth. Point being, they totally complement each other.

Will seemed to think so too. So much, he is willing to change his playboy lifestyle and be exclusive with her. Can he do it? Who knows? What we are more worried about is how this new relationship will last the six-month separation as Will heads to Brazil for his new job.

Exclusive! JoAnna Garcia and Brian Hallisay at the Privileged Book Signing! Plus, We Want MORE of Your Questions!

We've always been huge fans of Privileged, and after meeting up with stars JoAnna Garcia and Brian Hallisay at their book signing in Chicago, we're completely entranced! The pair met fans (some who'd come from as far away as Michigan and even Virginia!), posed for pictures and gave away 300 copies of the book that inspired the show.

JoAnna and Brian took some time to talk with us before meeting the rest of their fans -- check it out as t hey spill about Megan and Will's chemistry, who sings on set, and what it's like working next door to Dr. Phil. Plus, find out what Brian did that made their neighbor release his ninjas!

Even better, we got to talk to some of you! Fans of the show at the book signing talked about who their favorite character is, why they came out to see the stars, and which relationship they want to see win out. Check it out!

But that's not all -- we've got another chance to talk to JoAnna and Brian, as well as Lucy Kate Hale (Rose), Ashely Newbrough (Sage) and Allan Louis (Marco). We'll be taking them the questions we didn't have time to ask JoAnna and Brian, plus new ones that you post. So post your questions now!

Privilileged: All about Insecurities

Who knew that Rose and Sage where such huge fans of Sonny and Cher?
Everyone seriously rooting for the Charlie-Megan hookup: We’re sorry. There was definitely a love connection on last night’s Privileged, but of the Will-Megan variety.

We know we’ll get lots of Charlie cheerleaders complaining here, but we’re glad to see Will and Megan get together. Megan and Charlie play the friend thing very well, but we’ve learned from many relationships that friends don’t necessarily make the best boyfriends.

Post your Questions for Privileged's JoAnna Garcia and Brian Hallisay!

Megan and Will

Do you love the Megan/Will relationship on Privileged? Are you dying to know where the duo is going? Is there anything you simply must know about hte show, the characters, the actors? We can help!

We'll be talking to JoAnna Garcia (Megan) and Brian Hallisay (Will) from Privileged on Saturday, and we want to know what you want to know! Post you questions for the two Privileged stars, and we'll pick the best and ask the actors! So come on, tell us -- what do you want to know?

All About Defining Yourself

Rose and Sage, together as always
Last night's Privileged took a big emotional leap forward. The girls decide they will eventually separate and Laurel gets witchy when Megan finds out something that could change everything in the family’s life -- she's forced to concede power to Megan.

Before we move on to juicer pasture, the least dramatic of all issues that happened Tuesday was that of Charlie and Megan’s relationship. The two started off still on the rocks - him not returning her phone calls and her waiting for him to apologize. After some conversation with Rose and his current girlfriend, Charlie realizes his deal with Megan and went on to confide in her that he was quasi-jealous of her life and that he was ready to move on with his.

Voila, relationship fixed! Looks like Charlie is off to finish college. Now Charlie is the least of anyone’s worries.

For a second in the beginning of the episode, we saw some divergence between the girls. Sage totally seemed hurt that Rose turned down the afternoon meeting with the biggest publicist in town to take a history test.

Privileged: All About the Have's and the Have Not's

Elbows off the table! Sit up straight! Look at Sage -- she knows how to behave properly at the dinner table!
So this week we finally get introduced to the elusive Mr. Smith on Privileged, and we have to admit we don’t understand why Megan put it off for so long. He actually seemed like a delightful man. Although, we did find John Allen Nelson looked a little to young to be Megan’s father.

The episode started of with some promise. It was kind of fun to see everyone together for dinner. Who could have imaged the girls, Lily, Will and Megan’s dad all sharing a meal together – and it going smoothly?

Just kidding. There were some high points, but there were also some Smith family issues, literally laid on the table. We can’t decide what is worse: Lilly being caught with Rose’s stolen bracelet or her father trying to talk about why their mom left in front of Will and the girls. Hmmm…

Privileged: All About Appearances

Great, now smile with your eyes! No, not like that! Haven't you learned ANYTHING from Tyra?
You know that TV show, The Worst Week Ever? That was Megan’s life as Tuesday started off like every other episode of Privileged but quickly turned way down hill. We don’t know which is worse -- her faltering relationship with Charlie or her horribly-gone-wrong plan to include the girls in Laurel’s business.

For starters, Megan totally pulled a Madonna and dumped her guy. That’s right. Jacob is a thing of the past. And, after his dating tastes came to light, we have to say we are glad.

Jacob, who at the beginning of the episode frets about Megan not wanting to be seen with him, totally pulled a one-eighty. While he may have seemed like a sweet guy perfect for Megan, he totally brought up the ick factor. Dating an ex student? While he was a teacher at the school? And she was only 19 to boot! Yuck! Even grosser was when Emily (the ex-student AND ex-girlfriend) walked out of the bathroom (half-naked) in front of Megan, explaining “What? She said it was over.” Jacob is now totally a creeper in our minds.

Privileged Polls: Pick the Best and Worst Characters!

The cast of Privileged
We didn't have a new episode of Privileged to revel in last night, but that doesn't keep us from obsessing about the show! We've been debating who we love to see on screen (sweetheart Rose, caustic Sage), who sets our eyes rolling and teeth grinding (we're looking you, Lily!) and who needs work (we love Michael Cassidy, but Charlie doesn't have enough to do.)

But that's us -- what do you think? Vote in our polls, and tell us in the comments who you love, who you hate, and who you want to see more from!

All About Friends and Family

Pool parties are always fun and this week’s Privileged followed right on cue. There was the biggest fight yet between Lily and Megan, hives for one of the girls and drama between just about everyone else.

We’ve always felt torn between the two Smith sisters. However, this week Will was definitely right on when he told Megan, “This one’s on you.” OMG Megan was so mean to Lily! To hear that something is missing and automatically accuse her sister of stealing is a sad look into their relationship.

Sadder still, Megan - unbeknownst to her - is right! Still, to just accuse your sister of theft without proof is heartbreaking. But we must confess -- perhaps it’s not a bad thing that Megan told Lily she did not want her in her life anymore.

The real question is when will Will finally see the real Lily? Will he feel foolish for believing her even when Megan and Charlie made it clear she was not to be trusted? Will he ever even find out?

Exclusive! JoAnna Garcia spills on Privileged

What a sweetheart! We loved watching JoAnna Garcia on Reba, so we were thrilled when we found out she'd be starring in Privileged. She's just as nice in person, which you can see when she sits down to talk to our own Jason C. Find out who had JoAnna geeking out on set, who she'd marry in a second (if only he were into her), and how she's dealing with Megan's three-boy juggling act. Plus, hear her prediction on whether Megan and Charlie will ever get together!

Privileged: "All About the Power Position"

If you still think that Privileged is a wholesome, non-confrontational, middle-of-the-road drama, you apparently missed Tuesday’s episode. It may have started out as a do-and-feel-good show but this week, it was on and the heat got turned up – way up.

It had only been a few minutes into the latest Privileged and there was porn, romance and a seductive plan by Sage to get the low down on the Smith family tree. (Special treat for old Will & Grace and Hidden Palms fans, Leslie Allen Jordan appeared as dive salon owner. We can’t help but smile every time we hear his sassy little voice.)

And, if you missed the sexual-stiff conversation between Charlie and Megan, all we can say is - hilarious. We can totally picture Megan being a little "stiff."

Porn and stiffness aside, the latest Sage drama has her working in cahoots with Lily, of all people. We should have seen it coming. It was only a matter of time before these two gossip girls/drama queens got together. Megan better watch her back!

Privileged: "All About What You Really, Really Want"

Sage once again amazes us. Last week, it was sisterly love advice. This week, it’s computer software design? But the focus quickly turns off Sage and onto Rose’s seemingly opposite situation -- failing freshman year.

Rose and Sage

Jumping onto more juicy gossip, we hear the full story of what happened with Megan and Lily. The shock alone of walking in on your sister with your boyfriend is enough to make us even want to run away. It was only the first few minutes, and we were successfully being annoyed by Megan’s sister. Whatever sympathy we felt last week totally went out the window.

But Charlie and Megan’s meeting on the beach brought up a good point. Perhaps Lily wasn’t purposely “stealing” Will. Maybe she didn’t know. Now we are back to feeling kind of sorry for the way Megan treats Lily. We’ve gone back and forth on this issue more times than a two -year-old on a teeter totter.
