New Golden Boy for 90210

By now, we all know that Dustin Milligan's Ethan won't be returning to that storied zip code next season -- and yes, we're depressed about it. We love Dustin, even if Ethan never really got our motors racing. So how can they possibly replace him as the resident golden boy?

According to Michael Ausiello, the producers hope to distract us from the lack of Ethan by dangling an Abercromibe & Fitch model/soap star in front of our faces. And while our hearts will always remain faithful to Dustin, our hormones are too busy yelling "Yowza!" to care. (Sorry, Ethan -- we're really, really shallow that way...)

Ausiello says Donovan will join the cast as Teddy, "West Beverly’s own version of JFK Jr." He will be a "heavily recurring" character, and we should see him show up sometime early in the season.

So what do you think? Will an exceedingly pretty blond boy be enough to make you forget Ethan? Do you think Trevor can pass for a high-school stud -- and do you care? What do you hope for from the character? Talk about it in the comments!

We're back with more form the cast of 90210. This time, we caught up with delicious dish Matt Lanter, who tells us what he thinks about Liam's summer cliffhanger, his own summer plans (no rest for him!) and what he wants his character to do next season. Check it out!

Mark Your Calendars: The CW Premiere Dates Are Here!

So many cliffhangers rounded out this past season: What is Dan and Serena's half brother up to? What -- or who -- did Annie hit? How the heck are Sam and Dean going to defeat Lucifer? Why did the-man-who-will-be-Super say "Clark Kent is dead?" And that's just the start of it! Well, now we know when we can expect answers: The CW has announced its fall premiere dates. Start counting the days now!

It all starts on Tuesday, Sept. 8 with the season premiere of 90210 and the series premiere of Melrose Place. Wednesday, Sept. 9 brings the two-hour season premiere of America's Next Top Model: Shorty Edition. Oh, the drama! We can't wait.

Winchesterites, you can breath again on Sept. 10. That's when Supernatural returns to the small screen, and when we start to figure out how (or if!) the boys can avert Armageddon. But before we get to them, we get introduced to Damon, Stefan and Elena as The Vampire Diaries makes its debut. Should be a spooky and satisfying night!

The Monday-night lineup returns on Sept. 14, with one slight change: One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl are changing places. Now OTH gets the first spot, and GG rounds out the night. The Beautiful Life makes its debut on Wednesday, Sept. 16, after ANTM.

Finally, Smallville swoops back onto our screens on Friday, Sept. 25. Why the wait? Your guess is as good as ours.

Get the schedule in an easy-to-digest form after the break.

90210: Shenae Grimes on Annie's Woes

We've got a long, hot summer to ponder all the things that happened on our favorite shows, and possibly the most intriguing imponderable is just what the heck happened to Annie on 90210? We talked to Shenae Grimes about her theories on why Annie snapped, what sort of consequences she may be facing, and what get her into all this trouble int eh first place. (Hint: Boys!) Take a look!

What do you think? Is Annie's problem that she needs to take a break form boys, or is there something else going on?

Plus, we've got more to come: Michael Steger, Matt Lanter, Jessica Lowndes and Ryan Eggold all weigh in on the season finale in our next clips. Check back soon!

CW Fall Schedule Announced!

Vamps and models and Melrosites are flooding The CW's fall schedule -- and we can't wait! The network announced its 2009-2010 schedule today, and we had a few surprises. Yes, we knew about Melrose Place, but The Beautiful Life took us by surprise. A couple of shows we thought were a lock didn't end up on the schedule at all, and a few more shows we hoped would return have been dropped. But the biggest -- and most welcome -- surprise? All of the new shows on the sched look likely to rock!

The three new shows we can look forward to in the fall are Melrose Place, The Beautiful Life and The Vampire Diaries. We got a chance to talk to cast members from all three new shows, and we'll have an in-depth look at the series later. For now, here's a quick look, plus our impressions:

Melrose Place is taking the post-90210 spot on Tuesday nights. You know the drill: A bunch of glamorous 20-somethings share their lives and loves in a faboo apartment complex off LA's storied Melrose Ave. In the original incarnation, the show started off almost a little slow, then embraced its soapy elements a season or two in. This version seems to intend to go over the top from the get-go -- and that has us salivating.
Our Take: We can't wait to see Katie Cassidy as an acid-tongued, bisexual publicist; Ashlee Simpson as a sweet, naive small-town girl who's willing to scheme to get what she wants; and Shaun Sipos as the troublemaking spawn of original Melrose resident Michael Mancini. Plus, Sydney is back from the dead -- and how are they going ot pull that off? We can't wait to find out!

Find out about The Beautiful Life and The Vampire Diaries after the jump!

90210 Recap: FINALE TIME!

When we left off, the kids of 90210 were hanging out at sophomore prom. Liam was opening up to Naomi (whose dress I like even more this episode than last), hot teacher Ryan and Naomi's sister Jen were starting a romance even though Kelly tried to warn him of her deceptive ways, the entire school blames Annie for the canceled after-party, Adrianna's water broke and Silver accidentally made Dixon feel like a prom-loving loser. Whew!

Ethan loves Silver 4-eva

Naomi offers to have the party at their place and Jen doesn't like the sound of that. Meanwhile, someone needs to be a friend to Phoebe (the canceled party host) and tell her she needs to get her eyebrows done. Jen isn't too pleased with the way her baby sister is commanding the roost now that Naomi knows she's paying for everything.

Naomi is so excited about her party -- in fact, she's so excited that she is very complimentary of Annie and tells her she looks like a model -- a short one -- but still a model. Easy there tiger. Unfortunately, Naomi can't enjoy her own party because she is being a good friend and meeting Adrianna and Navid at the hospital, so she leaves Annie in charge of making sure no one throws up on the carpet.

Liam is sweet and gives Naomi a ride to the hospital and tells her he'll meet her at her party later. He also tells her that what he told her about his life is meant to be private. OOPSIE, she already blabbed about his upbringing to Jen and whoever else was listening in the powder room.

The poor glee club is getting no respect at the dorky school sponsored after-party. Nerd alert! Kelly gets a text message from Adrianna about going into labor and ditches the party, along with probably the only other two chaperones (Debbie and Harry), to go to the hospital for Adrianna's birth-giving experience.

90210 Recap: Zero Tolerance (For Real This Time)

It's our favorite time of year, PROM TIME, and the kids of 90210 are getting their plans together -- of course, not without a precautionary video from Principal Wilson telling the students about the school's new "Zero Tolerance" rule for after-parties. What a total downer. Annie doesn't have a date yet for the big dance and turns her nose up at some theater geek who waves to her in the hallway. Annie is kind of turning out to be as bitchy as Naomi now that they've gotten their friendship back on track.

The Clark sisters are getting furniture delivered to their new apartment and Naomi asks Jen for advice on how to get Liam to admit to his feelings for her. Meanwhile, Liam has been sent to the principle's office and is getting a "good cop/bad cop" lecture from Harry and Kelly. Liam's stepfather called -- he's worried about Liam's stability and is considering sending him to a military school. Almost nothing gets people pumped up to do better in life than being threatened with military school. Liam's idea of school community service is apparently asking Naomi to prom. She, of course, flips out in the only way an excited school girl can.

Silver is getting ready for prom by getting her tan sprayed on. How could this possibly go wrong? The lady doing the spraying tells her to get her hair blown out, acrylic nails (um, ok) and shave everywhere the day of the dance. Silver girl, two words for you: Bad Itch.

90210 Recap: Zero Tolerance

Someone over on the 90210 team did a great job picking the Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Zero" as the opening song for this week's episode! Overall, this may have been one of the best yet. We've got baby drama, the boys getting crazy and some much-needed heart to heart convos.

Adrianna's baby shower

Navid and Adrianna have decided to tell the whole gang about keeping the baby and getting married. While they hoped this might elicit a good response, Naomi and the rest of the group are total bummers. Dixon wants them to reconsider adoption, while Naomi, Annie and Ethan keep trying to tell them they're going to miss out on dating other people and enjoying life -- overall, not the most supportive of talks. So Navid and Adrianna leave everyone and decide they'll be enough of a support system for their new family.

Dixon goes to speak to Silver and is very comforting and accepting of Silver's decision to keep a low profile...except he wants her to go to prom. Dixon, that's not baby steps! Get her to meet you for lunch during school hours first, THEN you move on to prom a few weeks later. They leave things on a bad note since Silver doesn't feel ready to face the entire school but feels guilty for not going.

Naomi and her father meet for lunch and as a last minute surprise Jen comes to meet them as well. At first he's very happy to see Jen there, but once her mouth opens she lays into him for being such a perv. She tells their father that she is going to take over parenting duties, which sounds awesome for partying but reeks of trouble...which we can get behind for the sake of excitement.

90210 Exclusive: Michael Steger on Navid, Adrianna and the Bachelor Party

Sweet, innocent Navid has taken some big steps on 90210: Proposing to Adrianna, deciding he's ready to help her raise a baby, cutting ties with his parents, moving in with Adrianna's mom.... and he's just a sophomore!

We caught up with Michael Steger to ask him about what's going on in Navid's head, how he was expecting the parental conversation to play out, why Adrianna's mom was willing to take them in, and what happens when you go to Liam for party-planning tips. Plus, Michael talks about what he's looking forward to in the last few episodes. Check it out!

90210 Recap: The Party's Over

Some harsh realities are brought to light on this week's episode of 90210. When we left off last week, Navid and Adrianna were thinking about getting married and raising A's baby together as a family. This week they're picking out baby names and fantasizing about what activities the baby will participate in. Oh, and they still have to tell Navid's parents that Adrianna is pregnant. And not with Navid's baby. And they're getting married! This couldn't possibly go wrong! Naomi is still shacking up at the Wilson's and Silver is starting up her stint at Catholic school.

Naomi Clark and her sister on 90210

Naomi is prepping for her big first date with Liam and gets an upsetting text message from him saying he has to cancel at the last minute. She flips out (like seriously, she might want to get on some of Silver's meds) and Annie talks her down by saying she should just ask Liam what his deal is instead of ignoring it. Meanwhile, Naomi is treating the rest of the Wilsons like her personal maid service and they're beginning to get tired of it. She throws her laundry to Debbie to get ironed, complains about the meals being served and even cut up a pair of Dixon's pants that she found unflattering.

Dixon is a little worried about Silver going to Catholic school -- he feels like it's too extreme and she's doing to much to avoid her problems. He is also worried they won't get enough time together as a couple. She reassures him, but when she gets to school, she feels like an outsider. Silver isn't even Catholic, so she's going to have to learn a lot very quickly.

90210: Get the Scoop from Tristan and Dustin!

We caught up with two of the main men of 90210 and asked them what we can expect at West Bev. Lucky for us, Tristan Wilds (Dixon) and Dustin Milligan (Ethan) were willing to spill!

First, Tristan told us about the Silver-Dixon drama, what it was like to deal with such an emotionally fraught storyline, and how Silver's condition mirrors events from Dixon's childhood:

Then, we asked Dustin about who he'd been kissing, and who should encounter Ethan's pucker next -- and you won't believe his answer! Plus, he tells us why he's loving Ethan's interactions with Liam, why Ethan might be done with the ladies for a while, and which characters he hopes to see before the end of the season. Take a look!

90210: The Trouble with Liam

Oh, Liam. You're such a hottie on 90210, but we can't help but think that you're going to cause lots of trouble for the folks at West Bev. Case in point? Check out this preview. Naomi is blissfully happy, but that's not going to last -- and it looks like Annie may pay the price!

90210 Recap and Live Blog: Between A Sign and A Hard Place

Since last night's episode of 90210 came on at midnight for those of us in Chicago, I am live-blogging this recap so as to not waste time.

Donna Martin and her sad trombones

We start off at the Taylor household. Sammy needs help getting ready, Silver is giving her homework to Kelly to turn in for her and all of a sudden Donna's baby makes another appearance. Where the heck was she all of last episode? She arrived with Donna but then all of a sudden she was being babysat by an unknown person.

The Wilsons have finally sold their house back in Kansas and are having a yard sale. Harry doesn't want to sell his Big Mouth Billy Bass and Debbie isn't having it. Annie is getting a ride to school from Naomi and the two seem pretty eager to have a friendship and they bond over their shared love of foosball. Liam and Ethan continue their awkward bromance and Liam tries to peer pressure Ethan into skipping school and going to the beach.

Kelly helps Donna shop for some retail space to bring her creations to Beverly Hills. She wants to come home but her husband, David, wants to stay in Japan. They've been fighting and things have gotten pretty awful -- so they're thinking about divorce.

90210: Tori Spelling on Donna's Return!

We were thrilled to see Tori Spelling return to the 90210 -- and even more thrilled to get a chance to talk with her! Tori told us about coming back to the iconic zip, what sort of storyline she was waiting for, and what's she's doing when she's not on our TV screens. Take a look!
