Gossip Girl: That Whore's My Mother

Meanwhile, Dan sits at home by the phone waiting for a call that’s never going to come from Vanessa, and Jenny continues to cavort around with Damien, participating in his illegal extracurricular activities. Those Humphreys...if it's not one thing, it's another.
Here’s a few more reasons we’re happy the gang is back:
Worst accessory: Blair’s earrings at the dinner for the French ambassador. If the earrings are bigger than your ear, put them down.
Most inexplicable storyline: Jenny selling drugs. We still can’t figure out what would motivate Jenny to risk everything to give a few addicts their fix. Damien’s not even that hot, so she can’t just be trying to impress him. Get a hobby Jenny.
Best vixen: Forget about Blair, this episode’s temptress is that woman living in Lily’s building who apparently doesn’t know the old saying about not excreting where you eat. She knows Rufus is going through a crisis and invites him to coffee. The nerve! Find a single man.
Worst self-control: Nate and Serena. They apparently can’t even get through a dinner without doing the nasty. We’ll think twice before we check our coats at a function again.
Best role-playing character: Anna Karenina. If you can’t introduce literary characters into the bedroom, then you need to go back to the drawing board.
Most pathetic character: Dan. He got turned down by a girl and now he’s acting like one. If the Vanessa romance is meant to be, it will happen. You can’t stake the girl’s favorite coffee shop hoping to catch a glimpse of her. That will just freak her out.
Chuck went on a wild (or not-so-wild) goose chase to find out if last year’s mystery woman shares his DNA. When Blair and Chuck confronted the woman, she denied her connection to Chuck’s lineage, but Blair saw through her façade. We’re very interested in why Bart would make Chuck believe he killed his mother. Why torture a kid like that? What did you think?
Comments
I totally forgot about Anna Karenina.
I think perhaps that goes of the scale.

Episode points.
+5 Blairs "i invented that doe eyed stare" speech
+10 Chuck's face and B's "nothing is more important than you" response to it
-4 Nate's fake "peasant" hair at the beginning. Hairspray is better than THAT.
+5 Chuck's mother was cast PERFECTLY
-2 No Chuck speaking french
+2 Chuck's baby picture
+1 Finally a witness of pre boarding school Serena who is part of a completely judgmental breakfast club.
-10 Chair saliva is appreciated and somewhat lacking, Serenate however? EWWW And on two sofas that belong to neither of them in the space of 24 hours? And apparantly next week on Chuck's kitchen/counter/floor/fridge.
-2 No Eric?
+1 Rufus has his own skis
-3 Lilly's 'Serena' hair attempt
+3 Jenny's more realistic hair
Did i miss any? Its been a week since i saw it...
Which gives this episode a grand total of...... six. Brava. :)

Jeeesh I was so happy when Nate fell asleep next to Serena's bed in the seasons finale. But now they're just annoying the crap out of me. Their problems just seemed so silly....and why can't they talk? I mean they've been best friends since kindergarden...Sure they will have something to talk about...Even if it's just a trip down memory lane...and if they are already having nothing to di but to have sex that's probably going to be a very long, lasting, perfect relationship-.-'
But whatever...I don't understand either why Jenny's dealing...I mean she has a kingdom to rule hasn't she? Where were actually her minions? School seems to be totally out of the picture...
And Dan. Oh Dan. I mean although he annoyed me as well...really, really much...I wasn't surprised. He is just as always pathetic.
I was happy though about Blair...at least she got 20 good seconds when she told Chuck's mom (or whoever that ist) that she knows better than to believe her. Please I want to see more of the bitch in Blair!!!
And Lily. Seriously. How dumb can you be? I really thought she was happy now with Rufus and I thought he was the love of her life...so why go and kiss your ex-boxfriend? It couldn't have been pre-marriage stress since she already is a master in marriage. I think it was really bad from her to just marry Rufus without telling him about the kiss...But as always Lily is just dumb and selfish.
Otherwise the episode was ok...Though they could have given us a little more drama since we waited so long...

WTF is up with jenny?! every season she gets in trouble with SOMETHING and ends up basically showing that she is really a sweet nice caring girl underneath a crapload of mistakes and bad situations. I honestly won't believe that anymore. Let's recap
PROBLEM 1: She tries to become Queen after Blair is given the boot and does terrible things like steals an expensive dress to keep up with the lavish lifestyle. After her gay boyfriend was outted she lost all respect and ended up going back to her family for support. Everyone starts believing that she has truly changed her ways.
PROBLEM 2: Jenny quits school and tries to join the fashion industry with a psycho losing the respect of Eleanor and her father. She lives like a hobo for a few days adamant that she knows what's best for her and not her OWN family. FINALLY she snaps out of it when Eleanor goes out of her way and pushes her back to being with the Humphreys. Things look good yet again for Jenny - she's going back to school and sticking up for people who are being trampled by the 'royalty' at Constance.
PROBLEM 3: She begins to be respected as the new crowned Queen at Constance, although power distorts her visions of what is right and what is wrong. This ends up HUMILIATING eric which I still haven't forgiven (I don't know how he could... They aren't even real siblings! They could live in the same place but still hate each other's guts. I could never live with someone like Jenny) While Eric tries to look out for her, she blindly turns away from him and wants to maintain her Queen status. What happened to eliminating the hierarchy?? Jenny wanted this REALLY badly at the end of last season. Things don't look so good for Jenny at the moment. Can she really(italicize, bold underline this word) be a nice sweet girl?
PROBLEM 4: Selling drugs?! OMG all time low. I'm not saying that I know everything about drug dealers, but I know that it is a risky business and if you don't have the CONVICTION to do it, you will possibly get killed. And I mean conviction as in 'i HAVE to do this because there is no other option.' Selling drugs can't be a hobby and if you have options...and to have as MANY options as Jenny does - Dude there is seriously something wrong with this girl.
I don't understand it... I always pictured Jenny as that girl who always gets into mixed up situations but is really good at heart. At this point, there is no possibility of her being a nice girl underneath all those mistakes. Each one of those mistakes is enough for someone to make a LIFE ALTERING decision to strive away from the mistakes previously made. Why does Jenny keep making dumb mistakes? Seriously! I know someone who encountered Jenny's first problem, and by learning from that, she is a COMPLETELY different person. Jenny seems to change after these terrible mistakes/consequences etc, but then she falls back into her old patterns again! WHAT IS uP WITH THAT?!
You may say that this is only a tv show/drama, but in juxtaposition with other characters, Jenny seems by far the worst. Serena killed that boy but she became an entirely different person afterwards. She's always been striving to do better and that is commendable (excluding the very complicated sexual thoughts she continually has lol). But seriously, what does it take for Jenny to realize that she's made more life altering mistakes than many people have in their LIFETIME. I refuse to believe that Rufus could've raised a child like this. And Dan is such a caring older brother - how could Jenny turn out like this?? SOMEONE please explain this to me!!
