America's Next Top Model: Teyona Wins, Plus One Judge Talks, Another Walks!

We have a winner! Teyona was crowned America's Next Top Model, and we can't say we're surprised. She consistently delivered great photos, Tyra seemed to adore her, and she kept winning challenge after challenge. Was she really the best? Well, we'll give you our take in a minute. But first, we got hot British photographer and judge Nigel Barker to spill his thoughts on the top three -- plus give us a sneak peak at Cycle 13!

What do you think of Nigel's take? Do you agree?

Nigel will be back next cycle, photographing and evaluating the new crop of model wannabes. One judge won't be joining him -- find out who, and read our take on the finale, after the break!

Alas, judge Paulina Porizkova won't be joining Nigel, Tyra and the rest behind the judging table next cycle. She got canned from the show -- on her birthday! -- because the producers "needed to cut some fat, and the fat was me," Paulina told Craig Ferguson on his late-night show. "I think that was a nice way of putting it. It could have been either that or my gigantic, huge ego -- which I wasn't aware of before I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem."

Hmmm. We here at The CW Source are torn about Paulina's departure -- some of us think she's a tough and hysterical judge who wasn't afraid to speak her mind, while others think she could be unnecessarily mean to the girls. What about you? Will you miss Paulina next cycle? And who do you want to replace her?

We think we'd do a decent job of judging the girls -- after all, we judge the show all cycle long! And yes, we have some opinions on the finale. We were really surprised that Teyona didn't get eliminated after her meltdown on the commercial set -- being the Cover Girl spokesmodel is such a big part of being Top Model! Both Allison and Aminat delivered stronger performances than Teyona did.

And did Allison deserve it more than Aminat? We're not sure. Neither of them were stellar at the commercial, but Aminat was definitely more animated. And boy, waht we wouldn't have given to see her strut down that runway in a teeny bikini! We think she would have KILLED in the show!

And about that show... the judges were impressed with the staging, but the ending bit, where the models were covered in mud and crawling or writhing across the floor? Yeah, it didn't do anything doe us. And oh, when Teyona accidentally ripped off her hair! We can't say we were impressed with her waving it around like a lasso, but at least she didn't freak out. We'll give her points for sheer chutzpah!

And that bit of bravado may have been what put Teyona over the edge. We're slightly disappointed -- we're big fans of Allison's off-kilter charm -- but we don't really think the judges could have gone wrong with either girl. We're just slightly worried what the "My Life As A Cover Girl" commercials are going to be like next cycle!

What about you? Do you think the best model won? Did you love or loathe the runway show? Talk about it in the comments!

You people are just showing your true colors while hiding behind a monitor,Teoyna deserved to win. God forbid she is a strong black woman and exudes confidence. She automatically is perceived as being conceited. ,can't have that because whites in America get intimidated because she doesn't have a supposed servitude demeanor but rather a natural air of confidence that everyone is allowed to have . Alison is beautiful as well and she will do just fine ,she accepted the loss. So get over it whiners.

I think Allison was adorable but Teyona deserved to win. She worked harder, won the most challenges and had the best photos from start to finish. Both girls were wonderful and were deserving of the place in final but Teyona was most consitent. Allison was in the bottom two early out in the show and none of the designers wanted to book her on the go-sees in Brazil (which by the way was just two episodes before the finale). The designers are the ones who chart your career and if none of them wanted to book Allison then where is the career? In contrast all of the designers who saw Teyona wanted to book her. Allison wowed us with her quirky nature and cute look but Teyona deserved to win.

I think Allison should have won - she literally morphed throughout the entire show - I thought Teyona looked like an alien and had more problem shoots - Allison was just adorable throughout the entire show - Tyra does show her prejudice.

I too was disappointed that Allison did not win. It was so predictable because no matter how Teyona acted the judges always made some sort of excuse for her. She behaved very unprofessional when she cried over the commercial. To iterpret Allison's aloof nature as not wanting to be Top Model is just wrong. Her personality type is one that I would want my daughters to aspire to be. I found Teyona to be too full of herself. There is nothing wrong with being confident but she was a bit much and she was definitely the favorite. Allison was so unique and I wish her a great future.

No way Teyona should have won....what an ugly face without make-up...She looks like an alien. I think she was so conceited from the beginning. I don't care how much she wanted it...yuck!

I am so disappointed in the show because Allison did a much better job all the way through. She improved and really became a top notch presence as a model! I really was looking forward to seeing her win and was very upset because it appeared like Tyra very deliberately used her clout to make sure Teyona won instead. I think that was rigged.
