One Tree Hill Podcast: "Screenwriter's Blues"
It's unanimous -- we were loving this week's episode of One Tree Hill. The casting! Haley got a plot! Dan and Jamie! And The Beek, again, some more! Joy!
Tree Hill is overrun with actors aping the mannerisms of our favorite characters. There's a sofa full of young studs running their hands through their hair like Lucas does, a curly-haired blond sitting next to Peyton and wailing "Why does everyone leave?", a gaggle of shirtless hunks and poncho-wearing tutor-girls, and a Brooke-alike who seems determined to drive the real Brooke around the bend. Bliss!
Of course, life goes on even when there's a movie to be made: Haley wants to run Sam's heartfelt essay about growing up in various inappropriate foster homes in the school paper, but the new principal "suggests" that Haley reconsider -- we don't want to upset the parents! Haley ends up printing the essay -- but what will happen to her? Meanwhile, Peyton is dealing with babyproofing, crib-constructing and all the other stuff that comes with pregnancy -- and she can't handle it alone. Of course, she doesn't want to "bother" Lucas during this important time for him. Peyton -- it's your first child together! Bother away! Finally, Dan and Jamie end up competing over the same woman, and Brooke deals with people's images of her past -- and she doesn't handle it well.
Listen in to hear our theories of what will happen with Haley, hear what frustrated us about the Peyton storyline (we disagreed on this one!), find out which lines had us laughing out loud or tearing up (cough Jackie cough), discover which character we thought was wasted this episode, and hear what character absence prompted victory arm. Plus, more adoration of The Beek!

This is my first time to comment cause like my sister Roisin I just discovered this podcast! I have been listening to all of them back to back for a week. I'm even starting to talk like you guys!!! Please give me(muir-aid)and my sister roisin(row-sheen) a shout out because we are probably you're only Irish fans cause we don't have season 6 over here yet. We think you guys are the best and we're so happy that there is going to be more naley moments in the next episode!

The one thing I love about this episode was the references to past seasons.
The whole casting audition thing was soo awesome and funny. I cannot say enough good things about it, it was just so funny.
I think Haley is gonna get fired and get the whole school on her side, basically Mia's theory.
Jamie and Dan's scenes we so great but I didn't like Jamie's outburst. I thought exactly what Sarah did about Dan dying or at least lying unconscious on the floor with the beeper beeping.
Devon got what was coming to him. But I can't remember who that guy is all I know is that he is evil.
I think that Peyton is taking on too much, she's pregnant she should just ask for help from Lucas or Brooke or better yet Haley afterall she's done this before.
I can't believe that Lucas cut Fergie that is so wrong I mean he's been there every season.
Brooke was kinda in the wrong about lashing out at Julian but that first description of her was spot on well only in season 1.
WHAT! it's going on hiatus again OMG. But it just came back I'm gonna gave to go through One Tree Hill withdrawls again.
Once again great podcast as always

LOVED the episode. joy did great and i'm extatic that haley had a storey line! i think it'll be a great one too.
it was sad how ppl kept bringing up brooke's past when she's obviously changed and doesn't want to be known as that anymore. i thought it was weird julian wrote up the description that way cuz even tho that's how ppl on the outside saw her, the actress should know how she was on the inside and how lucas and brooke knew her. so i don't think she over reacted when ppl had been throwing it in her face. but it was cute how julian made it up and i'm glad he did cuz i really like them together.
nathan's sl is getting a little old at this point, i feel like it's the same thing every week. i wish they'd give him something else to do or something. but i love nathan so it's all good.
loved dan and jamie they're so cute. i hope dan gets his heart cuz he's growing on me again.
and last i thought it was great how lucas showed up to the ultrasound at the end. i also thought it was completely unrealistic how peyton still had a completely flat rock hard stomach haha but that's ok. i think she needs to talk to luke more tho cuz he'd be happy to help so she needs to let him in more with the pregnancy.
loved the episode, cant believe we have to wait another like month!!!

These breaks are killing me...
I loved this episode (made me wanna reach for my dvd boxset)
The guy with Nathan in basketball was the one from the try outs (I feel Nathans storyline is kinda the same every week)
and how random was it that skills was the babyproofer
the episode as a whole was great.
