Gossip Girl Scoop: Our Prayers are Answered!
Yeee-haw! It seems that when enough people have the same reaction to a character -- i.e., that he/she/it is loathsome and wholly without merit -- The Powers That Be take notice. So it's our pleasure to tell you that the person we've hated the most on Gossip Girl will be hitting the road. In fact, he/she/it won't even be there when episodes return in January.
In deference to the spoilerphobes among us, we've put the identity of our disappearing guest (and a few other juicy bits about new characters) after the break. All others -- click on, and comment away!
Aaron Rose won't be coming back from Argentina! We have no idea if he gets seduced by a tango instructor, if he decides to stay and make leather goods, or if fell in love with the steak dinners and opted to stay in South America. What we do know is that Awful Aaron won't be back after the break. Hallelujah!
E!Online's Kristin tells us that December 8 was Aaron's last episode. Apparently, Serena did pick the neck pillow over him! But Kristin says that newly single Serena won't be getting back together with Dan, because he's got a new love interest. Will it be the new teacher who is apparently not fond of Ms. van der Woodsen? Hmmm....
Now, some of our readers and podcast commentors suggested that Aaron might have been Rufus and Lily's child. It kind of made sense -- Aaron looks nothing like Cyrus, and he is kind of Rufus Lite. But Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello suggests that this is not the case -- he reports that Rufus and Lily's love child will be showing up around April or May at the earliest. That also seems to disqualify the aforementioned hot teacher, but who knows with this show?

aaron's not great, but neither is dan. both guys are kinna stupid.
blair and chuck will rule the world. their storyline and maybe nate's (ugh but i don't like how he's sooo judgemental) is the only reason gossip girl is surviving

Well, I know I had posted somewhere that I was really really hoping that Aaron would stay behind in Argentina - I'm glad they had the same thought!!
Prayers DO sometimes get answered! A big "thank you" to TPTB .. I'm sure they were having the same "issues" with the character/actor that the viewers have been having.
