Supernatural Podcast: "Something Wicked"

Listen Now

This was another knockout episode for Supernatural -- we got to see the itty-bitty versions of Sam and Dean when they were kids (chronologically, if not in terms of knowledge or responsibility), and the boys make a lot more sense now.

Li'l Dean Winchester gave Li'l Sammy all the milk -- that's why Sam grew up nice and tall, while Dean... not so much.

Something is picking off the kids of Fitchberg, Wisconsin -- they're getting sick and dying for no reason. Well, there is a reason, and Dean knows it all too well -- it's a monster that John wasn't able to kill the last time they were in the area. Dean blames himself (or course!) and pledges to take the sucker out once and for all.

Mia and I discuss how we get Dean better now, plus share our childhood monster-protection strategies, reveal what to look out for when you're choosing a physician, marvel at the early evidence of the dreaded puppy-dog eyes, and wonder what the heck someone on the Supernatural writing staff has against Wisconsin.

Oh crap, you're right, Nina! I missed a golden opportunity to take John to task. I'm so ashamed! Please don't revoke my membership!

No smackdown on John's treatment of Dean in this ep? They may take away Sarah's "I Hate John Winchester" membership. That's OK, I'll say it: John sucks. Well, John's parenting sucks. We, and Sam, are given such an insight into Dean's obedience to John, his devotion to Sam. No wonder the boy has spent his entire life subliminating himself to Sam's needs, John's directives. And it never ends. Ever. I can't recall one instance where Dean put himself first. And this is where it starts.

Lovely podcast!! a little shorter than i expected though!!i was kinda surprised that u guys didnt bring up John & his apparent diffrential treatment towards the boys..
but it was a real sweet episode.& did someone notice that "Shtriga" bears a striking resemblance to "Dementors"..No, Harry Potter fans.Just me..alrite then..

Oh, where is Jackie? I hope she's back next week.
Great podcast ladies. Little Dean was so amazing! I hope we see more of him!!!
The old lady was really creepy, even though she was no witch, she still scared the crap out of me! The conversation between Dean and the kid was so sweet. Older brothers always take care ouf their younger silbings. So sweet!

Hi Girls.
I'm loving the podcasts! You guys really get the boys, and the show.
