Gossip Girl Podcast: "The Ex Files"
School's back in session, and that means some seriously shaken up relationships. Lord Marcus is sleeping with Catherine!? Lily's suddenly the one making moves on Rufus? DAN's the first one to move on after he and Serena end things? And now Serena's possibly evil? Um, are we living in some kind of alternate Gossip Girl universe?
Well, not quite. Chuck's still scheming (is he ever!), Jenny's still being tortured by the populars but kind of loving it, and Nate and Vanessa are both still a bit dim. All this back-to-school upheaval means Sarah, Mia and I have plenty to say on our latest Gossip Girl podcast!
We're enjoying how Chuck's plotting has overturned Constance Billard's society rankings and produced a new, potentially reckless Queen Bee Serena. We all have a good rant about Dan 's behavior (seriously, why doesn't he listen to us? He'd be so much better off), but we're torn about Nate and Vanessa (I'm feeling sorry for her, but they're not so sure). Plus, we discuss the neat wrap-up of the Catherine/Marcus plot, debate Jenny's place in high school, and think Lily deserved this taste of her own medicine.

This episode was awesome. I was just shouting at Vanessa I was like "no don't" and by doing this she screwed nate over and she screwed herself over. Chuck really is a strategic genius I couldn't believe that he was behind all of this. I was like yes good for Rufus too bad Lily you had your chance. But I did kinda feel sorry for her because she is alone. I was like Mia I didn't care about the cape I mean call me blind but I didn't even notice it. I feel sorry for Jenny with the whole bullying situation. Serena and Dan for me well was kinda dull this episode the only thing I did like was when queen Serena returned I was like "wow what a hot b***h." I think that Serena is taking her rightful place and Chuck even said at the beginning of the episode that she is the queen.

LOVED this episode, but had a couple of podcast comments :)
Okay, Blair's "capelet." Yeah, it was hideous, but it was so so SO expertly used. The first half of the episode stressed Blair's Queen Bee status, and the capelet and jeweled headband (crown, anyone?) really drove this point home. She looked more or less like an actually queen from 14th century Europe. A

Loved the podcast.
I agree that the whole Chuck thing was far fetched. How could he predict all that would be the outcome of Dan and Amanda? But still loved it. I expect craziness from GG.
But I've got to defend Lily. She wanted to be with Rufus in season 1, but thanks to Serena telling her that she and Dan were forever, she decided to marry Bart. If it were up to Lily, she'd probably be with Rufus. But she had to pick between her daughter's happiness and her own, so naturally she picked Serena's.
