i really think its time for clark to FLY everyone else has started.or at least bring back the justice leg.

Personally, I can't stand the actress playing Lois. There is ZERO chemistry between Lois and Clark. I'd like to see Lois die and Chloe take on the name Lois Lane as pen name, maybe a tribute to her cousin. Chloe makes a perfect Lois. Lois is a terrible Lois. Lana and Clark have fantastic chemistry. There is not way they can make that chemistry between Lois and Clark. The only one who could interest me more than Lana with Clark is the girl who plays Chloe. I would love to see her totally get over Clark and move one while Clark starts to fall in love in with her. Then we could have several more season of angst!

i really dont think its a goof thing if lana will be out in the show...oh come on! she's smallville's sweetheart and if in the season finale, ang she won't be there, it would be as boring as hell. Come on! people this is smallville anyway...not some kind-0f-a-superman-classic movie...And Lois is too old for Clark in the tv screen...she looks like clark's school teacher on smallville high...

I don't like how they put Lois into the storyline. Save that for later. I think the Clark/lana thing is good for now. They are still, after all, in Smallville. I dont know what they're going to do without Lex though. I mean he is Superman's major rival. I think the show needs more action. Clark needs to stop being such a wussy and start flying and saving people...no more of this hiding out in his barn thing.

For the writers, I think right now is too soon to tell who should die, but I love the Clark and Lana moments

Lana leaving? Clark and Lana sell this series. Kristin got a movie career ahead of her; I can't blame her for leaving. The producers should be smart enough to bring Lana back at the end of Season 8. Have another Mortal like sex scene between Clark and Lana. Keep the DVD sales going...that would be a smart move. Are you listening producers?

I love the chemistry between Clark and Lana, no two ways about it. If I had my perfect wish for season 8, it would be to see him take on more comic-type bad guys and start more hero practice AND still have Lana (Lois later - I like her, don't write her out, just not as a romantic lead at this point) - and actually kiss Lana once in a while. Use the hero fighting as the tension, diminish Lana's role (the plan for season 8 anyway), but make the Lana moments count. I would also like to see him fly in jeans once or twice - even if it means he crashes a few times while trying to learn. No tights. It would be funny in season 8 if he walked down to the kitchen in blue, red, and yellow pajamas - visual cue close to the suit - and have Lana tell him how good he looks in them ("it's you") and Clark to tell her that Lois got them for her for a present for [fill in occasion].

No Lana, I am gone. The producers are not looking at the $$$$. Episodes centered on Lex have always had low ratings. Episodes centered on Lana have the highest ratings.
Clark is getting fat. He and old Lois start to look about the same age.

the romance in the series is wat brings in the ratings.nobody can really deny that.unfortunately the show has gotten really 'same old same old', and i think that maybe lex and lana leaving will help the show.i think that standing by the comics mostly is a pretty good idea.

People you need to read up on the stories. Lionel dies later on but not before Clark Becomes Superman. Of course Lex never dies and Lois wins the Man of Steel in the end. Lana will have to disappear for a while, but she won't die.

Chloe could in fact die. There was a friend of the gang in the comics who was much like Chloe and she even had blond hair. She was killed in the Suicude Slums by a thug shooting her, so I see Chloe searching for a story line in Suicide Slums getting shot and dying.

When the real comic friend of Superman was shot and killed he was enraged and went super pissed Kryptobad on some thugs. I think this will be and should be the ultimate action that springs Clark into finalizing his training.

So to all of you "Clana" fans just stuff it, thats crap that Superman fans can't stand. We want to see more villians and hero's from the comics. We need more story line and less romantic junk. The action is what drives ratings not romance.

What true Superman fans hold important in the story is the strength and intelligence that the Man of Steel incorporates. His morals are why we love him but his intellect is what keeps him ahead of evil not some crappy character like Lana. The writers can stray a little from the story line but they know that the true fans are why the show is successful and they have to follow the story pretty closely because we are watching to find out how they unravel the details. Otherwise the entire show was all for nothing and a waste of time.

well, it's no big surprise about MR -- the fact that he might have limited guest appearances is better than not having him at all since he planned not to return after S7. lana in small doses or not at all is okay -- so no big lost. however, i would like to see martha kent make an appearance or two.

personally for me, i just think it's time clark starts on his training as super man and coming into his "destiny". i hope he at least flies in jeans -- i really don't want to see him in full Superman regalia. it's totally fine with me if all of the other major characters are written out in one form or another, whether killed off or allowed to live in limbo until the next SV reunion. LOL afterall, clark is growing up as are the rest of the characters. lex will never die of course, but i hope the writers write a "nice send off" for him. as for the others, the ones i'd really like to see "go away" and written off into neverland are: lois lame (no typo), cousin kara, AND jimmy olsen (ugh!). keep chloe and small doses of lana and pete. create new villains (or bring up old ones), do more justice league type episodes.

i'll miss MR, but then i'll always miss him! season eight should really be about the beginning of superman before he arrives for work at the daily planet.

i'm sure looking forward to the rest of S7!

I Think MR Is A Very Big Part Of The Smallville Series, And Will Hate To See Him Go. He Personifies Lex In So Many Ways And Was Made To Play That Part. I Hope To See Him Shoe Up In A Few More Episodes Next Season Since Its The Last One. As For Lana, I Love KK But The Whole Clark / Lana Senerio Has Lost Its Flavor. I Liked Her Better As The Witch, And Parts Like That Shes Great At. I Still Would Hate To See Her Go But That Sory Must Come To An End.

I'm looking forward to little to no Lana and have come to accept that Lex will not be around as much. I wish Lex would be there, but I think the show will work with him just part time. But Lana being gone means the show is about to get a hell of a lot better.

I seriously love Michael as a person, he simply cracks me up! But I cannot stand Lex, I used to but not anymore... And as far as Lana's concerned, I always wanted Clark and Lana together but I don't really like what they made her out to be so I guess I could potentially be okay with her not being a regular....

The idea that Lana or Clana "brings in the ratings" is one of those myths Lana/Clana fans like to toss around like it's a fact, but can't actually prove. In fact, it has often been disproved. (The second highest rated episode from last season had no Lana. Some of the highest rated eps from early this season had very little Lana. And so on and so forth.)

I'm sure there are some hardcore Lana fans who might stop watching if KK leaves. But I know a lot of people who stopped watching the show because of all the Clana nonsense, and might actually start watching again if they knew it was finally over.

As much as I like KK (she seems cool in the interviews), it's past time for the Lana character to go.

As for MR, I can't imagine the show without Lex. Hopefully, they can talk him into doing a good chunk of eps next season.

If Lana goes I go because if there is no Lana there is no Clana.I have hope that someone will convince her to stay.

Please, I hope that somebody else dies except CHLOE, it is spectacular, the whole world wants much .. Also hopefully LEX or LANA to leave SMALLVILLE, if they go .. SMALLVILLE would not be anything .. I DO NOT SEE MORE SMALLVILLE!

Im finally glad that lana is leaving. she is the one holding clark back from his true destiny. she will finally leave and play part with the old superman movies where she comes in and talks to reeves. chloe and lionel i feel will end up dying because for one...chloe is made up. she was never in superman or anything. her powers keep gettin worse and she will end up using it to save clark or karas life and she wont come back. i love lana to death on the show but its time for her to go. i can see lex leaving because he will prolly move to metropolis before clark will start the daily planet so i can see him bein on the show every once in awhile to come visit.

for me if there is no kristin on the show i won't watch smallville..kristin and tom is the only reason why i stick on the show and we should admit it that these two amazing people (kristin and tom) are so perfect pair and smallville won't be smallville without them.. so i think Kristin should be on the show till the last season of smallville..

but i totally think that clark needs to have some fun in his life, and i think that lois brings that fun side out in him.

Kristin is talented but I hate the Clark/Lana relationship, it has run its course and there is no chemistry besides the fact they are both attractive. I would love Kristin to stay on the show as I am a fan of Kristin but to be honest Lana has ran out of stories and her character has developed enough. It would be nice for her to move to Paris, she never fitted in Smallville.

Without Michael as Lex it is going to be strange, he is a large part of the show in respect of him being Clark's nemesis. I don't know how they are going to work a story around this and it will leave a gap in the show. I have faith in the writers but I don't want it to needlessly go on if there is something missing. Ultimately the show is about Clark and his ability to turn into the hero he was always destined to become, but you need a villain in the story.

Much like most of the comments here what makes the show dynamic and fun for me is the relationship between Clark and Chloe. They are always there for one another, Chloe makes a smart, intelligent sidekick for Clark and in my opinion is much better suited for Clark than Lois. I see chemistry between Tom and Allison and they just make every scene compelling and interesting to watch.

Lois is flighty and fun and I like the sarcasm she has but there is no chemistry between Erica and Tom.

If Allison was not a series regular I don't think I could watch it.

No Lana means no Clana= no me.

People have posted that 'a lot of people don't like Clana' BUT an equal if not larger amount of viewers do ship Clana, they are just not as vocal online.

I hope Kristin pops in for the good stuff next season, and Clana is given a proper, deserving send off.

It's going to be hard to run a show when 2 out of the big 3 characters are not series regulars.

The nauseating Clana should have ended long ago before we had to endure the disgusting Clana sex and the offensiveness of Clark wanting a girl who kidnaps and tortures people after she's done embezzling from Lex.

There has never been any good reason why Clark should be so fixated on this nasty, backstabbing girl; they have nothing in common and Lana only wants to be with someone who will worship and cater to her,as Bizarro did. Lana has no use for a guy who wants to save the world because it would take time away from her adoration. She has never been the kind of girl who genuinely accepts Clark or could accept the fact that he has other commitments than to her, as was made clear in Personna. Thanks for the big reveal, Biz!

A majority of fans have always hated Lana and Clana and it's time for Clark to call her on her crap and say good ridance.

"Lois" is a joke and has no place at all as a love interest; she is nothing at all like what the real Lois Lane should be. After recently admitting that she is too selfish to share a hero with the world, she is clearly not even in the running for Clark's romantic partner.

It's Chloe who knows him better than anyone else and is willing to stand by him and share in his struggle for truth and justice just as the real Lois Lane always has. It's way past time to end the crappy angst and give us Clark who actually grows up and has a real, angst free romanctic relationship on the side with his partner in all things, Chloe Sullivan, the real Lois Lane of this show.

I agree with Meg. It's nothing personal against KK, but the Lana character needs to leave the show at this point. The show has obviously been setting up the decline and ending of Clana, and it's about time. Clark obviously loves Chloe, and Chloe will willingly die for Clark, so that's true love, in my opinion.

The Chlark relationship is the single best thing about Smallville, and it's time that Clark & Chloe be happy for a change. They clearly make each other happy, and as a fan, that's what I want...Chlark is an amazing relationship, and it's time to place them together in a loving, passionate and committed relationship..the characters and the fans deserve that development. If the show would end Clana now, then there may be a chance for the show to pick back up those disgruntled fans who finally gave up and left the show because of the steady Clana nausea. Chloe is our heroine, and she's the reason a lot of long term viewers are even still with the show.

I hate to see MR leave, but maybe the show can come to terms with him to where he'll appear in sufficient episodes in season 8. We still need Lex for our story, but I'd want the show to make him more competent and evil. MR is amazing, but I don't think the show has done the character justice, and part of that is because of the burdens of the Lana character.

I will be extremely sad if Michael Rosenbaum doesn't return for season eight. The show is centered, or at least supposed to be, around Clark Kent and Lex Luthor. There will be a big space missing if he doesn't come back.
I like Kristin Kreuk but the character of Lana has run out of story for me. There are ways where she could leave Smallville on a good note. It doesn't have to be angsty and dramatic.
The show absolutely can not work without Tom Welling(obviously!) and Allison Mack. These to make the show. Their dynamic is what keeps me and my family tuning in every week!

I'd hate to see Lex go, and I hope they can at least get him back in as a fairly frequent guest star. Lana I'd be very happy to see go, and I don't think I'm alone. I suspect scads of fans who were disgusted by the never-ending Clana-go-round might well tune back into the show.

The one actor I won't watch without is AM, and I'm glad Ausiello thinks she's sticking around. The Clark/Chloe dynamic is definitely one of the best things on this show. I'd love to see Clark starting to realize he's in love with Chloe, FINALLY. The last few episodes have set up a nice clear path toward Clark realizing how much Chloe means to him, and I hope the show continues to move in that direction. It's about time for us to get romantic Chlark!

I think its time for Lana to go. That character has really hit the end of the road, and her relationship with Clark is just so played out by now. Best of luck to KK. SV will be fine without her.

The loss of MR is more problematic, but if they can get him back for a decent arc, he can still have a strong presence on the show even if he's not in every episode. And if the show can get someone like James Marsters as Brainiac to fill the void when MR's Lex isn't on, I think the show will be fine.

As for deaths, bye-bye Lionel. Glover will be missed.

I don't really care if lana leaves, i like the actress but i don't like the character much. What i do know is that they have to keep Chloe on the show. Allison Mack is great.

Yo Michael, don't leave man. U are great on the show. U really capture the nastiness of Lex Luthor only seen in the comic books.

Please Michael don't leave because the show is about Lex & Clark.....Lana has to go, so Clark focuses on his future & we all know Lois is in that path!!

I do believe it's time for Lana to step aside and allow Lois to emerge as the real love of Clark Kent's life. Lana will always be his first love, but it's becoming a little bit toxic. Our hero nedds a break. A fun one. A Lois one!
