CW Schedule Changes: New Slots for Gossip Girl, Comedies, And Reaper, But Where's Supernatural?

Big news from the Powers That Be at the network, as reported by Variety: The CW is shuffling around its schedule in response to the writers' strike and, we suspect, iffy ratings for some of its much-championed darlings. Some of the moves make sense, some of them seem dubious, and one drives us crazy. Here's the scoop:

*Gossip Girl is moving to Monday nights as of January 28. The show will be out of new episodes by then, and the network thinks putting the reruns on a new night (one that doesn't put it up against American Idol) will expose the show to a new audience.

*In February, Gossip Girl reruns will be followed by new episodes of Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.

*Supernatural will return with new episodes on January 31 – but once those new episodes are burned up, it disappears from the schedule.

*New episodes of Reaper will take the Thursday post-Smallville slot starting February 28. The network wants to give Reaper new exposure with the a compatible lead-in – and at that point, the Slot of Death might look less fatal, as Grey's Anatomy and CSI will have to run out of new episodes soon.

Get our take on these changes plus the full schedule after the jump:

Here's what drives us nuts: The CW will continue airing reruns of Reaper in its Tuesday night slot. Why not air reruns of Supernatural there? That way, the boys would have the opportunity to draw in an audience that didn't see the original airings – you know, the same thing they're doing with Gossip Girl. It's a fantastic show that has been criminally under-promoted, and this would be a great chance to draw in new people. Come on, CW – think!

The other big shift: The Monday night comedies will become the Sunday night comedies as of February 10. Everybody Hates Chris, Aliens in America, Girlfriends and The Game will bump off Life is Wild once new episodes of the family drama run out – and word is the South Africa-set series is done for. Sigh. That's another fine D.W. Moffet series the network is abandoning.

We'll keep following this story and let you know what we find out. In the meantime, tell us what you think of the schedule shifts in the comments.

I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WAS THE GAME COMING BACK FOR THE FALL 08' SEASON? ALSO YOU GUYS SHOULD PUT HALF AND HALF BACK IN YOUR LINE UP THAT WAS A GOOD SHOW.

I agree with alot of things these people are saying. keep GG, OTH, te game, SN, and for the person who posted about girlfriends, I agree, that was a good show but to ask if they cancelled it because it wasn't a white cast is ignorant and was not needed at all. throw away the race card and stop trying to use it for everything that doesn't seem fair to you.

Cannot believe they would do away with Supernatural.
They must be "kin" to the people who did away with Moonlight. Know quite a few people that have quit watching series because if they like them al of a sudden they're gone...I'm starting to feel the same way.

whats going on with girlfriends? i hope they at least do 1 more episode joans wedding and have toni come back for it. that is the least they can do for us devoted vans....also please dont cancel the game it is all i have left now....also hurry up w/ the new episods already next season should be a new episode EVERY week instead of 2 or 3 new episodes in a row then re-run after re-run

gossip girl is the best show on ur network right now. everyone just hasnt even given it tha chance it deserves. if they would watch it they would kno that it is better than SN and all other shows... EVER! not sayen tha other shows suck but seriously dont ever put another pussycat doll crap on here anymore! wen is the next season of gossip girl gunah start? i neeeeeed it to survive this upcoming treacherous summer!!!!!!!!!

when will new episodes of one tree hill be featured instead of the re-runs on monday?? i love that show..please reply.

when is 90210 is come to cw11 and what time and date and is it this fall write back beause i love the show and please let me now please i like for to it ;;;;;;;;;;;;lol ps lot of love kebrina

when can i expect NEW episodes of Degrassi on Sunday mornings, we've already seen all these

please tell me that the show game it not cancel

I love that GG & One tree hill are back to back on Monday's! Farmer wants a wife has to go! Bring back that "its all relative" show or whatever it was called with those 3 sisters with jenn esposito! That was a sweet show. I dont mind the PCD show but there is no need to repeat it 3 times in one week! I rather watch an old episode of friends in that case. I am looking forward to trying 90210..i watch the reruns on soap net all the time! They were lame at times but it had heart & energy! Bring back Melrose Place & I am set for the week!

I miss Girlfriends. Don't understand why you put The Game up against Desperate Houswives on Sunday night. It needs to be back on Monday & so does Girlfriends. Please x out Pussycat Dolls. Who cares?

First of all, I can't believe girlfriends was cancelled. Some shows on this channel are really boring. CW you lost me. PCD show is retarded, then farmer wife???? Are you serious? Who's behind of all of this?

Very disgusted

Pussycat dolls need to come off air! They are the only show that is spoiling the CW!

when is there going to be new episodes of gossip girls... watching repeats gets old!

I don't understand all the negativity about Reaper. Reaper is a great show with seasoned actors. I hope to see more new episodes of the show.

cw what is wrong with you? why are u taking supernatural off the air. i love this show it has everything you would want in a show. please leave my supernatural on the along with my other favorite shows like smallville, and one tree hill these are the best shows you have on cw. please leave them on the air if not there will be no reason for me to watch cw anymore. leave supernatural, smallville and one tree hill on cw take that stupid reaper show off of thursday nights. you are messing with everyones schedules.

CW11 need to wake up and realize that if they kept cutting good shows Life is Wild, Supernatural, and putting shows that suck pussycat dolls they are not going survive.

I am so sorry that The CW lost "SmackDown!" Friday Nights will never be the same again for The CW (until The CW becomes a successful network).

SUPERNATURAL is a dam good show and it works with Smallville two show together doesn't get any better so if supernatural is not run cool but they put out new show it has to stay with smallville cause thursday night is the best night for the cw11

Ok so, i don't really watch supernatural, but i totally agree that they should be playing re-runs instead of the Reaper. My boyfriend loves Supernatural and he's mad that he can't see episodes that he's missed in the past.
About Gossip Girl, i'm glad that they are showing re-runs so that they can draw in more audience, but when are new episodes going to come back??? I miss watching it. I'm guessing that they won't be back until American Idol is over, which TOTALLY SUCKS...but makes sense. Is there definately going to be new episodes though???

Disgraceful. Dawn, I really, really want to shake some good, old-fashioned SENSE into you now because you really need it. Can't you just rub your eyes for a moment and look at Supernatural like a show that deserves to be treated like the way you treat newbie shows like Reaper and Gossip Girl (which, incidentally, do not deserve such treatment at all)? Supernatural is an awesome show. It gives everything- drama, comedy, horror- and yet it is being shelved for mediocre programs that can barely survive on it own two fragile legs? Supernatural draws you in, it's a spectacle on it's own. So, to make things short, Supernatural could own those newbie shows in their sleep.

This show is too good for this network.

Hello!! I think the writers strike is kkkiiiilllllliinngg me! I have been enjoy many nightly shows, but now I am getting really unhappy with this. I have been watching channel 11 since it was WB11 (10 years)! If I had one channel that I could only watch it be CW11. It grrrs me to seen that all the great nightly shows are being dropped. I hope that "Life is Wild, Gossip Girl, Supernatueral, Smallville, Reaper," and many more come back with new episodes. Please!!

i think that "All of Us" should stay on the air, i no its allready off but p ut it back on plz!! i wanna find out wats happening with robert and neesee after their kiss at the hotel

I love ONe tree hill. I am glad that it is back on. I think you should get rid of the pussycat doll show. You should provide viewers with a rerun of America's Next Top Model on Sundays. Thank you for providing us with One Tree Hill

supernaural should stay on the air. These fans of supernaural don't want to watch other sh#ty shows supernaural made cw sh#t throw supernaural off and the cw gose to hell

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone who supports SN. If the CW makes the mistake and really takes my boys off the air for good, they will be making a terrible mistake. SN is THE BEST SHOW on the CW at the moment. It is the only show I actually watch. Even my brother watches it and he's a tough nut to crack! Everything else especially Pussycat Dolls and Gossip Girl SUCK horribly! PLEASE DO NOT BE STUPID CW BIGWIGS. Leave my boys where they are!!!!!

Okay I've been watching Supernatural since it started, hook line and sinker since the first "Dude!". It is the only reason I watch the CW Network. This show is one of the best on tv currently and yet it has had some of the closest calls. Almost not being picked up when the CW was created, then not sure if it would continue for a second season. Now because of the writers strike which is over they're going to give us reality tv from hell. Sorry but no thank you!!!! I understand that they couldn't make anything with scripts but you should at least somewhere on the schedule have Supernatural so new people can come to it. Where will it be when the new episodes for this season get made? Plus giving us two helpings of Reaper? How many cracks to the head have you people taken? Every where I look shows that have jumped the shark countless times are being advertised like Lost (hello if you've left the island you are no longer lost!), Grey's Anatomy (how about we just put it on during the day and have it be the newest daytime soap opera), House (if he was a real doctor someone would have either killed him or he would have been disbarred by now). This isn't just the channels this is also TV Guide and other magazines and yet the only time I've ever seen Supernatural in TV Guide was right around when it first started unless it's just a little blip. All I'm saying is that Supernatural is the only good show on the CW and you need to keep it on the air if you want new audiences. I also agree with a lot of other people Supernatural is the only reason I watch the CW...Supernatural ever gets canceled...Bye Bye!

Is it true that the CW has canceled Girlfriends and has no intention of having a proper series finale or that they just let the cast know about the cancellation via phone calls? That is so sad and unfair. It was a great show and I watched it on UPN and continued to watch it when it switched to your network. My question, would you have canceled it if it were an all white cast? One Tree Hill is past it's prime and then some but you haven't given up on it, even when the fans seemed to. Why get rid of Girlfriends when it is one of the few shows that mature women can actually watch and relate to?

I'm disappointed!

I am so dissapointed with the CW. The only reason I started to watch Supernatural was that there was nothing on during rerun season..I flip to SPN and was blown away!!! I swear the onlreason I didn;t know about it before that the totally horrible promotion the show gets. The show can't get new fans like me if it isn't even on the air!!!!!!

ps. I only started watch after the 2nd season...and have already turned by two sisters and best friend into addicts...they went out and bought the dvds just like me so we could catch up on the show

The CW is so stupid...this is the reason the network is going to go bankrupt

Me personally, i had a problem with the cw when they didn't bring back one on one, Half and Half, Cuts, everwood, living with fran, and that show the melanie griffth was on. They got rid of all them shows and put some dumb shows on. I'm so tired of the pussycat dolls, didn't watch crowned Reaper is ok but not enough to play twice a week. Supernatral is a good show compared to smallville and Reaper so i would rather have supernatural come on with the sunday night laugh athon. Us urban crowd will love to have you on our night. Anything but that farmer and his wife. Ps what happen to 8 days a week? The show with christina millan and Arnez from one on one? If you want to bring something out bring that out. You suck CW get a new program manager

The only reason I watch the CW is because of GOSSIP GIRL its the best show!!!! you keep skipping days its suposed to be on!!!

i am so upset there no supernatural im done with that station once supernatural ends its not only supernatural they move all the comedy shows that my sister watch to sun which is a bad move b/c she watches fox on sunday then she like gossip girl and she wanted to catch it from the begning but they move it to mon which is bad b/c she watches the new fox shows so its not only supernatural its alot of stuff and im very mad about this i hope the cw changes its ideas and get back on track before me and my sister find a new station to watch more often and ps cancel those stupid show like reaper, crowned, the pussycat dolls ,cw now, and farmer wants a wife

I am also disappointed by this move. Supernatural is an excellent show, and remains the only show that i watch on the cw. if it goes, i have no more reason to stay with this channel. i agree with what everyone is saying-- why does reaper need to be on TWICE?
give the boys a chance to pull in new audience.

I am extremely disapointed that Supernatural is being taken off the schedule after its new episodes air. Why not give Supernatural the chance to get a few new eyes on it during the strike?
On Tuesday in its old slot or on Sunday -- for heaven's sake start the comedies at 7 and rerun SN at 9 it can't do worse than CW Now --that show couldn't even muster a million viewers!
As I say -- very disappointed!!

Girlfriends and the game are being changed to sunday night? Not a good move, sunday night television is already taken up and people will stop watching these shows, is that what you want???????????????

Now I have nothing to tune into the CW. All the shows I have liked have been canceled. "Life is Wild" is a great show. Why is it being canceled? Well so long CW! I have no reason to watch anymore.

DONT CHANGE ANYTHING obviously alll the people under me are upset about there show now i dont watch that but still i watch GOSSIP GIRL and i cant watch it on mondays probabley same with some of oyur other viewers because its been on wednsdays for so long. american idol does not have a plot i would rather watch gossip girl anyway same with all there dedicated viewers i know that i am only one fan but as yo u can tell im not the only one concerned

How typical.
You actually thought it wise to keep Pussycat Dolls on and not Supernatural? Then putting Reaper on two nights and not SN? Come on are you guys really that brain dead?

What a stupid move.

I will never ever watch CW again, not even Smallville, if Supernatural gets taken off for good. Alot of people agree with me. Except for some Smallville episodes, without SN, The CW sucks.

Go ahead and keep on the idiotic reality shows and not SN and you'll see what a stupid move that was.

Dawn O. will be happy but not many people care what the heck she thinks (I know I don't care one bit)

I really think SN needs to be on another channel. A channel that actually has some sense.

I understand the need to shuffle the shows around to entice new viewers but one would normally assume that that would mean all the shows would still be on the schedule? So... where's Supernatural?

I mean they must at least know Supernatural draws in a decent audience if they are saving the new episodes for Sweeps but now is also the opportune time to draw in some new viewers from the mecca giants CSI and Greys but instead they shuck Supernatural in favor of Reaper? Seriously? Do we need Reaper not once, but twice a week? I've watched the show, it's not too bad but not something I go out of my way to view every week like Supernatural, repeat or not; and honestly I dont see it doing well against Greys, CSI, and now Lost.

All in all, when Supernatural goes I go. Smallville wont keep my attention anymore (and thats a rant for a different time and place), I only watch it out of habit, that and retention for SPN, but seriously CW you need to try and connect with your audience and take off your rose colored glasses that hide everything you dont like or might not want to hear. Supernatural is one of your top rated shows, and the fans aren't just going to lie down and let you kill it. There's still too much story to tell...

Anyways that's just my confusing-ly put two cents.

I am....completely....striken....by the stupidity of this action. o0; Supernatural is by far the best show they've got(Because let's be honest, Smallville took a nose dive a long time ago, and One Tree Hill is not far behind) I know that Dawn O. doesn't like the show at all(did she even bother to WATCH it?), but come on! They've got to know that Supernatural is what makes them stay on the boat, don't they? Well I'm telling you, no more CW for me if they don't give those reruns some place in their schedule. What other reason do I have to watch the CW anyway? "Pussycat Dolls"? Or God forbid, "Farmer Wants A Wife"??? I would like to inform the Network that not all it's viewers are brain-dead, thank you very much. Cut the reality TV nonsense and praise the real gem you have in your possession ; Supernatural.

Please, don't make the mistake of hidding Supernatural in the CW's closet. If you do, then it's a step closer to the CW Network's downfall.

what can i say this is so typical of this networks treatment of by far their best show...whats SPN got to do? if the CW doesnt wake up soon and realise what theyve got in this amazing show they will pay a heavy price ..reaper or gossip girl will not keep them afloat ..putting your energys into the wrong shows is poor decision making of the highest level.

why do they not want to be a station that is watched? why persist and never supporting a show that is a BIG reason why people watch the station to begin with? Supernatural is what kinda brought them into a "ok" statis after the switch from the WB. I will not watch the CW if this is done Supernatural is what made/makes this tv station, so it would only make sense to piss off it's watchers and take a GREAT show that is HELPING them and dump it UH, WAKE UP CW

Leave SUPERNATURAL there and get ride of the stupid pussy cat doll or crowned those shows are SO STUPID!! Keep SUPERNATURAL ON!!!!!!!

I understand that the CW is rearranging its schedule to try to bolster some shows that have not lived up to expectations despite heavy promotion, but I feel they are shooting themselves in the foot.

I have seen a number of reasons given for the announced midseason 'strike schedule'.

First and foremost is the belief that when all of the other stations are showing repeats, then people will turn to the CW because it's not a rerun if you've never seen it before. So why is Supernatural being denied the opportunity to garner new viewers during that time? Do you think that people who are used to watching quality scripted shows on the major networks are going to be impressed by 'Farmer wants a wife' and 'Teenybopper Soap Opera'? Supernatural is a quality show. Interesting subject matter, good writing, exceptional acting from two extremely appealing stars...it makes you laugh, cry, and hide behind a pillow all in a single episode. Supernatural is a show that will entice visitors from the big networks to actually hang around for a while.

I have also seen the new schedule touted as a way to draw viewers from night to night and create network loyalty. But in setting up the schedule without any word of reassurance to the most dedicated group of viewers you will find anywhere, they have shown they are not worthy of viewer loyalty. I watch other shows on the CW, but I think that will stop when Supernatural does. Why would I want to get wrapped up in any other shows that are on a network I cannot trust?

With its themes of courage, family, and self-sacrifice, Supernatural is actually a show the CW should be proud of. If I were them I would be shouting from the rooftops about the letters the boys received from General Petraeus. But instead it's being shoved into a closet and hidden.

It truly makes no sense.

I second the comment below that this is Everwood all over again... Everwood was sacrificed for no reason (sorry, saving 7th Heaven is not a reason). Supernatural is being meddled with (it wasn't broken, it didn't need "fixed" with new characters, but that's another issue for me) and ignored for no reason.

Supernatural has a chance this spring to pull in new viewers while so many other shows are also in reruns and... nothing. No reruns. No advertising. No network support for Supernatural at all. Though this really isn't a change from the past, The CW never really has supported the show.

And it bothers me that recently, Dawn Ostroff bragged to TV Guide how the strike can work in the favor of The CW, in part, because of the possibility of new viewers through reruns. But... no reruns for Supernatural. Oh no, Reaper gets to have the American Idol free time slot that Supernatural has fought tooth and toenail to keep up against far steeper competition that Reaper will face this spring.

It's almost as if The CW doesn't know how to deal with quality television, except to do their best not to have any. (See: Everwood)

Thanks to this, as soon as Supernatural is gone, I will not watch The CW again if it continues to treat quality (non reality, especially) television in this manner. You can certainly trust that, short term, I won't be watching The CW this spring once Supernatural is off the air. I mean, Farmer Wants a Wife? Seriously? Whatever, CW.

I'm rather disappointed with the decision to not air reruns of Supernatural.

I've turned on no less than THIRTEEN new viewers (in ages groups from 13-55) by loaning out my personal copies of the DVDs and I actually have a WAITING list at my house to loan them out to other people. The covers of my dvds are actually falling apart!

(The only other DVD set I have that's met such consistent use is Firefly.)

Every single one of them has expressed a desire to see the show - and what am I going to tell them? There's no point in them jumping in towards the end of a very shortened season 3 - they're all have no idea what's going on. Now I'm looking at having to loan out my Season 3 discs as well when I get them.

You're missing a HUGE opportunity to promote a well-received (and highly underpromoted already) show by taking it off in order to promote a show that... to be honest, I gave up on halfway through the second episode. (And considering I am a HUGE Kevin Smith fan, that's saying a lot...)

You're pretty much allowing a healthy patient to die (Supernatural) trying to resuscitate one that coded weeks ago (Reaper).

What I'd like to see (since you have time what with the STRIKE) is a reboot of the series. Promote a "Meet them again - for the first time" of some of your popular shows (like SPN and OTH, etc.) by starting from their pilots and showing the reruns in order..

OR

Allow the fans to vote - Top Ten favorite episodes and have the casts come on to talk about their favorite moments, etc. and show the top-selected fan favorites.

Without a network, our shows don't have a place to be shown, but without the fans, the network doesn't have anyone watching - and let's not forget that it's OUR viewership that drives your ad revenue. Instead of treating us like an unwanted houseguest, how about you try enlisting us to promote the shows we like?

You know I was planning to catch Reaper on repeats since all of my usual list of TV favorites with Supernatural at the top, will soon be out of new episodes. But since the CW has chosen to replace Supernatural with Reaper and give my favorite show the metaphorical finger, there's no way I'll be doing anything to support this pathetic excuse for network. So sorry Reaper, but here's one potential new viewer who won't be giving you be checking you out at all.

i am never going to watch this stupid station if they wont show supernatural...supernatural is the only show i have ever watched on this network....you guys should wise up or you will have a lot less viewers if supernatural doesnt get back on soon...

I agree with all of the previous comments. I had actually planned on tuning in to One Tree Hill tonight but I am so angry with the CW's treatment of Supernatural and its fans, I don't think I can bring my self to watch! Is this really what those in charge at the CW want?

The CW will never make the "big boy" network if it continues to make huge mistakes like eliminating their best show. Supernatural has the best cast, the best writers, and the best supporters. If the CW wants to remain in the small town era, well keep making those mistakes and see where you end up.

I only watch CW tv because of Supernatural. I won't be seeing re-runs, then I won't watch the network, because there's nothing in there that really sparks my interest. Also, their attitude towards certain shows as opposite to others is starting to irritate me a little. I feel unrespected as fellow watcher, to be honest.

I sincerly hope that our resident genius Mr. Kripke is trying to sell our darling show to another network. Obviously the CW has no respect for "Supernatural" or the powers that be would be treating it much better. I for one am in the same place as everyone else. When SN ends in february, I will be finding another network to watch until it returns.

I only watch CW because of SUPERNATURAL and that's the way it will always be with me... I own both seasons and I always watch them over and over...lol.. I got one of my friends hooked on it which she told me that she is glad I told her about the show...

Boy, it feels like Everwood all over again. I often felt that was one decision the CW wished they could have taken back, but guess not since it feels like they are now doing the same thing to Supernatural.

Once again they are showing how little value they place on well written dramas.

Way to go CW. You really don't deserve these shows.

I rarely post at any websites, but I feel as a supporter of Supernatural that I must add my two cents worth. I totally agree that not showing reruns of Supernatural in a different timeslot is so completely wrong! It should be in the Tuesday night time slot instead of Reaper and hey how about showing the top 5 favorite episodes from any season as selected by the viewers. That would just be fun and would probably entice new viewers to watch!

Oh CW you are yet again a punchline. Your boss is yet again a punchline.

1)Pull or cancel Supernatural and watch what happens.

2)Quit beating on dead horses they wont give you the ratings.

I really truely hope this strike ends soon.

Too bad, the CW had a winning night on Thursdays....Smallville has been iffy lately and now that Supernatural is gone...I will be too!

I sure hope the CW doesn't see this topic and its measly 9 replies because it sure isn't indicative of the amount of talk going on about this subject! There are thousands of boards and mailing lists and communities talking about this.
To lend my one comment to this board, I AM glad that the new episodes of SPN are airing during sweeps month and the fact that folks at the CW offices in LA have said that SPN will return later, but I do wish they would just reassure us fans anyway. This could be their signature show if only they promote it more. It's one of the best acted and written shows on television and it is a damn shame that it isn't recognized as such.

This is the STUPIDEST idea ever. I will personally not watch the CW while Supernatural is not on air, and I will not ever watch it again if they take Supernatural off for good. Firstly, I was disappointed in the lack of promotion Supernatural got. I am so certain that the other shows have no chance in that Thursday slot, which everyone knows is the hardest slot to be in, and Supernatural was doing a pretty good job with it's fan base considering. Of course I agree with everyone else it could have more viewers if they moved it to a different time. But the CW has no excuse, since even the ratings prove it's good, to ignore or take out Supernatural even if they are doing it while saying they are just "experimenting."

In the mean time, I will continue to only watch the Supernatural reruns and new episodes (even though I had originally planned checking out some of the new shows since I haven't yet) and as soon as they take it off I will not support the CW in any way. I just wish Supernatural would get picked up by a different network.

On Feb 28 I will stop watching CW, until Supernatural returns. Of the shows that I have enjoyed, never have I seen one treated so badly by the higher ups as Supernatural. Start listening to the fans for a change, even if they are older than 18.

Ok, here in Brazil we are just as disappointed as you, guys and there's nothing we can do to help but wait. First, the CW sells Supernatural as a horror driven show, despite the amazing family drama. And now they decide to take it out of their schedule? Such a stupid move.
All we talk about is how we depend on you people to watch the show so WE can go on watching it too. Supernatural now owns the wednesday nights in Latin America, leading the prime time. I see that as a good sign. The show doesn't need Smallville and Two and a Half Men (both huge successful shows here) viewers anymore. At least is how it seems.
Since Reaper is not even mentioned and I don't think it' s even airing around here, we will probably be watching reruns of Supernatural, but I for one have my hopes up: Long live Supernatural! The best show in the air now.

It is amazing that the network is considering removal of a show this well-written. I have been turning on new viewers through sharing the previous seasons on DVD (one of THE most popular USAF DVDs in foreign war) which is a LOT more than the network has done to promote the show.

As a previous poster, this is the only show I watch on this network, TIVO religiously, and follow online. Shame, CW loses ANOTHER household.

seriously this is bad. i love cw so much but this is too much. so what, is that it for gossip girl? no more? trust me if threr isnt and it doesnt go back to wendens day i wont watch it anymore.

Words cannot convey the disapointment I feel towards the CW and their decision to pull Supernatural from their Mid Season schedule after their new episodes are finished. They instead put Reaper in their place? What are they thinking? They replace an A+ show who has an amazing fan base, ratings, and an incredible cast and writing team with a show that pretty much is a horrible and unflattering rip off? A show that has horrid ratings, and no substance? Am I wrong in my utter dismay for a network that is trying to make a name for themselves, but in turn are shooting themselves in the foot? Supernatural is the only show I watch on the CW, so as of the end of February I will no longer be tuning in until it returns. If you are trying to gain viewers CW, you may want to rethink your strategy....you are going to end up losing more than you gain! Be sensible...bring back the best show on television, and by far on your network..Supernatural!

I am just wishing right now that SN could have been on better network, that can really appreciate it worths. Why in the hell no SN repeats?...If anything happens to SN...O I am done with CW...

Again, I can't add too much more than what has already been said.
SUPERNATURAL has been kicked in the teeth time & again by the CW, who are obviously not worthy of such a brilliant show. It wasn't that long ago that both Jensen, Jared & the show itself were honoured by the US Army for their work. Did you not see that footage from the convention CW? The troops overseas love this show as much as we do, there is no higher honour out there & yet still you choose to ignore it. Shame CW, shame.

all i can say is...wow. how stupid can you get? i agree with everyone else...

Thats not much more I can add, everyones pretty much nailed it. However some advice on running a network, especially one still in it's infancy. If you want to be succesful and continue with this as a career, do what makes the audience happy and draws them back week after week, not what you like. You appear confused? See we're doing your job by promoting one of your top shows. We're putting the CW on the map by bringing in new viewers to your network and trying to keep them there. The creative minds, actors, crews and so on are doing their job by hitting it out of the park every episode. While you are acting like a star crossed fan of reality programming and putting on what you'd watch instead of us? If your fantasy world needs a reality boost so bad, switch places with us and see how it's supposed to be done.

The Cw network is probably the biggest disappointment in Tv history

Why would the CW do something so stupid? Reaper is one of if not the worst show on the CW why bother to "try" and save it. Especially at the expense of the "BEST" show the network has going for it!

If supernatural goes so do I! I will never tune into this station again if they don't bring it back. Not for any show.

The CW obviously needs to get the shows that it promised the advertisers would succeed to work out. They haven't and the CW is now in a panic. If the network darling Gossip Girl doesn't bring in the millions the CW figured on, and if Reaper's ratings can't rise to 3 mil, then the network is losing advertisers. I can see this problem. However, as was mentioned, since Supernatural has pretty much kept the CW in the 3 mil ratings on the bloodiest night of the week, steadily bringing in hardcore and loyal fans, why not take this opportunity to try Supernatural repeats on Tuesday nights? Give Supernatural a chance to grow that it hasn't had since it was moved to Thursday nights and GA and CSI moved there. Give Supernatural the break it needs. This has been the second highest rated scripted show, and this is the thanks it gets from the CW? Being totally ignored? Thanks a lot CW. I can see how you repay faithful fans. I do hope that TW farms Supernatural out to either CBS or the SciFi station. Maybe they will appreciate a quality show, since it's seems very clear that the CW doesn't.

Don't even get me started on how much I HATE THE CW FOR TAKING OF SUPERNATURAL once the new episodes are done (especially when it looks like the Pussycrap is being show twice)! I am one of many who loved watching the reruns!

If Dawn actually cancells Supernatural I will not be watching the cw anymore.

Well... Since Supernatural has been removed from the schedule I guess I will not be tuning in to this station anymore unless they bring it back. It was the ONLY thing worth watching on this channel and now that its gone I guess I'll check out CSI or Lost on Thursday nights.

Every other show on this station is not worthy of my time.

Exactly! While I'm not crazy about moving Reaper into Supernatural's timeslot, I can understand the CW's desire to see what a Smallville/Reaper pairing might do for Reaper's numbers, which have been quite disappointing overall. But that's no excuse for removing Supernatural from the schedule completely. A lot of shows will be showing repeats, so why not just include Supernatural repeats in the schedule as well? And why not include repeats of S1 or S2? By moving Supernatural out of the Thursday night timeslot, there is potential for viewers who might not otherwise have seen the show, to tune in.

So, Reaper has a chance to find some new viewers by airing on a different night, and then, so might Supernatural. I cannot over emphasize the regular season competition in the Thursday 9 pm timeslot -- it is brutal! And it isn't just ONE top 10 show that Supernatural has to compete with, it's TWO. So a lot of viewers probably don't DVR Supernatural because they watch CSI and DVR Grey's or vice versa. And I actually do believe that the viewers of those shows (despite skewing "older" than the "typical" CW viewer) would also be interested in the wonderful family drama that Supernatural actually is. I also think it's pretty amazing that we get the ratings we do, especially in comparison to the other CW scripted shows, which do NOT have this competition and are still LOWER RATED than Supernatural. Given some real promotion by the CW, I have no doubt Supernatural's audience can grow.

While I am supremely disappointed by the exclusion of Supernatural in the schedule, I am not entirely surprised, given the track record of the CW's (less than supportive!) attitude toward Supernatural. It seems that no matter the fact that it is one of the top shows on the network, it is continually ignored and under-promoted. I don't understand why the network cannot see the potential for growth in Supernatural's audience during this post-strike period, when viewers will be searching for something they haven't seen before and something that isn't reality programming. The perfect opportunity wasted by the ignorance of the CW in realizing what a gem of a show it has with Supernatural.

I feel outraged and extremely disrespected as a viewer with CW's decision to take Supernatural out of their schedule.

Supernatural is the best show on CW, the second most viewed scripted show on the network and still it gets the worst treatment.

I'm really disappointed with the CW, really disappointed.
